DeLonghi DES16E Review

Delonghi DES16EThis DeLonghi model has been the best DeLonghi dehumidifier for a long time. It just does everything it should do very well. A very simple machine to own and operate. It is powerful, yet small and as quiet as refrigerant models get. Read DeLonghi DES16E review.

DeLonghi DNC65 Review

DeLonghi DNC65The DNC65 is DeLonghi’s only desiccant dehumidifier and yet it is still brilliant. It weighs in at a featherweight 5.5kg and has the miniscule dimensions to match. It’s surprisingly powerful for its size too. Surely the future for dehumidifiers. Read DeLonghi DNC65 review.

DeLonghi DEM10 Review

DeLonghi DEM10
The DEM10 has been around for many years and with good reason, it does the basics so well! You won’t find any fancy digital displays or ionisers here, but for good value dehumidifying power it’s hard to beat. It was previously our favourite dehumidifier before some of the more expensive models were released. Read DeLonghi DEM10 review.

About DeLonghi

DeLonghi was founded in Treviso, Italy in 1902 and are renown as a company for their quality and stylish design. They are present in most small appliance markets and are particularly dominant in the domestic dehumidifier market, where only EcoAir and possibly Meaco could challenge them for the title of biggest manufacturer. They bought the well-known British brand Kenwood in 2001, primarily to get access to their Chinese manufacturing plant, which is where most of DeLonghi’s appliances are now produced, although they are still designed and engineered in Italy.

DeLonghi Dehumidifiers

DeLonghi have been producing refrigerant dehumidifiers for a long time indeed and are the oldest of the current players in the UK market. They were seemingly reluctant to enter the desiccant dehumidifier market due to the technology’s reputation for unreliability and unwillingness to damage the popularity of their very successful refrigerant models. However, they are now present with their excellent DNC65 model, the only desiccant model that they produce.

Why Should You Buy One?

Whichever DeLonghi model you buy, you’re not going to be making a bad decision and that’s the great thing about this manufacturer. Every model is quality and each one they sell comes with a comprehensive two-year warranty.

The unique airflow pattern and slimline design of the DES range (see top of page) means that the dehumidifiers can be sited very tight up against walls, leaving no gap on one side. Although some people ignore this, practically every other dehumidifier on the market requires a 20-50cm gap to the nearest wall in all directions. So for tight spaces the DES range is ideal.
